Simple Ways to Spend your Sunday

Whether you consider it a day of rest or a day of play, Sunday rituals are important. How do you close out the previous week and reset your mind and body for the week ahead? This week, I chat to three of our marketing team to see how they make the most of their Sunday.

 

Charlotte – Our Beach Obsessed Marketing Manager

The best way to start a Sunday is waking up early [wait... just hear me out!], getting outdoors and going for a walk. I love getting fresh air - yes, even after a big Saturday night. My favourite local walk is the Bondi to Bronte [especially at this time of year - I love spotting the whales!].

Next up is Sonoma, my favourite cafe. Almond croissant and an almond flat white takeaway is my go to. In warmer weather I love sitting on the grass across from the beach, either with friends or on my own with a book.

In the afternoon you’ll find me at Harris Farm getting all the fresh produce I need for the week. Currently I am really into the JS Health App so most Sunday evenings I will cook [a delish] dinner using one of Jessica Sepels Recipes. I’ll usually end my night watching Netflix [currently watching and loving ‘Homecoming’] and burning my favourite Peppermint Grove ‘Burnt Fig & Pear Soy Candle’.

On Sundays I love to practise ‘Slow Living’. Slow Living is the idea of taking time to do things [as the name suggests]. As my Monday - Friday is super busy with work and social commitments, I really like to take my weekends at a slower pace and catch up on all my life admin.

After a sleep in, I take my favourite furry friend Frankie [the sausage dog] for a walk to North Narrabeen Surf. I’m a sucker for a bacon and egg roll with a skim cappuccino. This is the perfect time to catch up with my family and discuss how everyone is.

I always make time for drawing on the weekends. This is my ultimate relaxation. Whilst I draw, I listen to the Shameless Podcast, Triple J or one of my carefully crafted playlists.

Generally, I use the afternoons to catch up with some friends. I’m a cheese platter enthusiast and love a 4 Pines Pale Ale by the water.

Sunday nights are great for reality tv. I usually grab some uber eats and have an early night.

My favourite day of the week! The ideal way to start my Sunday is a walk along Rushcutters Bay. This is a perfect way to reset my mind and prepare me for the coming week. I love doing this walk with friends or if I’m on my own, I listen a podcast. My current favourites are ‘The Mentor’ by Mark Bouris and ‘Pretty Big Deal’ with Ashley Graham.

Doing something physical in the afternoon for me is a must. I enjoy either meditation or yin yoga at Flow Athletic.

I then finish every Sunday the same way- a quick flick over my emails, a big bowl of pasta and a soak in the tub with my favourite Peppermint Grove ‘Patchouli and Bergamot Bath Salts’. I’m then ready to tackle the week ahead.
